Meet the Team

Dr Iain Hoeltschi studied dentistry at King’s College Hospital, London and graduated in 1991. After vocational training, he moved to South Wales to become a senior house officer in maxillofacial surgery. He then held posts in restorative dentistry, child dental health and periodontology at Newcastle Dental Hospital and was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow in 1996.

After a three-year postgraduate orthodontic training programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, Iain was awarded a Master of Science degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This allowed him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Joseph graduated in 1992 from the University of Glasgow and remained in the city for vocational training in general dentistry. A year of postgraduate study at Newcastle Dental School led to a Masters Degree (MSc) in Restorative Dentistry in 1994.

Staying at Newcastle Dental School as a Senior House Officer, he attained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, achieving the award for best performance in those examinations in 1995.​

In 1996 Joseph was appointed as a Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital and completed his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and was awarded a further Masters Degree for research by the University of Bristol in 2000.

Joseph is registered with the General Dental Council as an orthodontic specialist. He is the former Chair of the NHS advisory committee for Orthodontics in the South West of England and oversees a private orthodontic service in Jersey, Channel Islands along with Winchester Orthodontics.

Shelby started her dental career in 2014 in a general dental practice and qualified in 2016 as a dental nurse.

She accepted a position in a specialist NHS and private orthodontic practice at the end of 2016.

Shelby has been working with us since March 2020 as our Practice Manger and Treatment Co-ordinator alongside nursing and reception duties. 

She has qualifications in impression taking and radiography.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Stacy qualified as a dental nurse in 2003 and worked for a while in general dental practice before specialising in orthodontics. She joined the practice in 2007 and has both qualifications in orthodontic nursing and radiography from Keele University. Stacy has been with the practice for over 15 years.

Her hobbies include reading, swimming and socialising with friend and spending time with her two dogs. 

Lucia has qualified as a dental nurse in 2009 whilst working in a specialist orthodontic practice.​

Lucia now has over 16 years of experience working in both NHS and private dentistry.

She has qualification in dental radiography, impression taking and orthodontic nursing. Lucia enjoys baking, cycling, padleboarding and long walks with her sausage dog.
