Now, back to braces - what are some of the most popular and successful braces that our orthodontist in Hampshire has used? Read on to find out.

Invisalign

If you have been looking at adult braces online, chances are you have come across the world-famous Invisalign brace.

This is one of the most common and popular braces used by our orthodontist in Hampshire due to its discretion and ease of use. Made from clear plastic, it is custom fitted to slot over your teeth perfectly and is even removable. With an average treatment time of 6 months, it is one of our faster options, but requires discipline to maintain, you must keep it in for up to 22 hours a day to stay on track with your treatment.

Damon Clear Braces

A fitted brace that is discreet, Damon Clear Braces are a suitable alternative to Invisalign if you need a bit more of a precision treatment.

As the brackets which hold the wire to your teeth are either clear or enamel coloured, this brace is well concealed in your mouth. This brace does require tightening about once every 6-8 weeks, but offers an accelerated treatment time of 6-9 months. Very fast, very precise and very easy to maintain.

Lingual

Like clear braces, lingual braces are also fitted, but are placed on the back of your teeth as opposed to the front.

Suitable for those who have more complex orthodontic needs, this brace also requires adjusting by a member of our team and is able to straighten your smile in around 24 months. But, as it is so well-hidden, no one is going to notice!

Cosmetic

If your misalignment is at the front of your mouth, you may be more suited to having a cosmetic brace. Often fitted, these braces focus on realigning the front 6 teeth and can achieve this goal in as little as 3 months!

Traditional

Finally, we come to the traditional or metal brace.

While this is far from popular, it has proven itself consistently to be successful at treating the most complex dental cases.
