Winchester Orthodontic Practice has provided private orthodontic care to children and adults since 1989. We are known for our experienced specialist orthodontists and supportive, knowledgeable team.
Located at St Lawrence House, 2 Barnes Close, Winchester, we are just off St Cross Road and within walking distance of the train station, city centre, and major bus routes.
Our team includes two specialist orthodontists with over 30 years of experience, an orthodontic therapist, qualified orthodontic nurses, a treatment coordinator, and a dual-role practice manager and receptionist — all passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. We stay up to date with the latest treatments, including Spark Aligners, fixed braces, and remote Dental Monitoring.
Step 1: You’ll be welcomed at reception and asked to complete a medical history questionnaire.
Step 2: You’ll meet Dr Iain Hoeltschi and Dr Joseph McGill, our specialist orthodontists, who will listen to your concerns and examine your teeth.
Step 3: Our treatment coordinator will explain your treatment plan, payment options, and answer any questions you may have.
We’ll take X-rays, photographs, and digital scans to confirm your diagnosis. A signed consent form and your initial payment will be required. Please allow 20 minutes.
Your orthodontic appliance will be fitted and you’ll receive full written and verbal care instructions. This appointment takes around 45–60 minutes.
Every 6–8 weeks, we’ll assess your progress, activate your appliance, and answer any questions. These visits take approximately 20 minutes.
Once treatment is complete, your appliance is removed and retainers are fitted to maintain your results. This takes 45–60 minutes.
We’ll schedule three short appointments over the next 12 months to check retainer fit and monitor long-term results. Each visit lasts 15 minutes.
