A wide array of orthodontic options

There have never been so many options for getting your teeth straightened discreetly. When you come to Winchester Orthodontics, we can offer you a wide choice of ways to get your teeth in alignment.

In the past couple of decades, orthodontics has advanced considerably with the advent of new materials and techniques for straightening teeth. These advances mean that visiting the orthodontist in Hampshire is more comfortable and convenient than ever.

Easy to treat

There is no longer any need to use cumbersome, obvious, heavy-duty metal braces to treat mild misalignment. Now, you only need to get these from your orthodontist in Hampshire if you have serious bite issues.

However, we find that most patients who come to see the orthodontist in Hampshire need corrections to issues with overcrowding, crooked teeth, or teeth that have not descended properly, and most of these can be solved with one or more of the many systems now available to our orthodontist in Hampshire. These include:

Invisalign clear aligners

This tooth straightening system uses aligners, rather like mouth guards, that fit snugly over the teeth and use pressure from the rigid thermoplastic resin to nudge teeth along. At 0.3mm thick, and completely transparent, Invisalign aligners are almost invisible. They can also be removed for eating, drinking and cleaning, and even the odd special occasion. This brand often gets misspelled as Invisaline.

Lingual braces

These bracket and wire braces are entirely invisible from general view because they are fixed to the tongue (lingual) side of the teeth, rather than the front. The braces are made from detailed impressions and information about the teeth so that the gold alloy brackets perfectly fit the contours of the inside of your teeth. This is a great way to get straight teeth if you are an adult who has a busy social and professional life and would rather keep your dental business to yourself.

Damon Clear Braces

Like traditional bracket and wire braces, these are fitted to the front of the teeth, but the brackets and wires are transparent. Damon Clear Braces work on all the teeth. And because the braces are fixed, they deliver fast and accurate results.
